John Kellington is Senior Vice President and CIO of Cincinnati Financial Corporation, which markets Property, Casualty, and Life insurance through independent agents in the United States. Prior to his position at Cincinnati Financial, he was Senior Vice President of ACORD, responsible for all ACORD Standards development including forms, participation & membership, finance, government and industry affairs, education, and information technology. Previously, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for the Ohio Casualty Group. He also spent 18 years at IBM, where he held several positions including Certified I/T Architect and Principal for IBM Global Services’ National Insurance Practice.
William K. (Bill) King, Jr.
William K. (Bill) King, Jr. is a retired Executive Vice President of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company in Bloomington, IL. Bill joined State Farm in 1970 as a Personnel Interviewer and held several positions within the organization, ultimately becoming Executive Vice President in 2004, until his retirement in 2010. An Illinois native, Bill received a bachelor’s degree from Eureka College, Eureka, Illinois where he is currently the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He earned the Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) designation in 1974, the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1978 and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1995. He is also an Associate of the Academy of Life Underwriting and an Associate of the Health Insurance Association of America. Bill has served on the board of State Farm Life and Accident Assurance Company and State Farm Annuity and Life Insurance Company.
Senior Vice President and CIO, Prudential Financial
Barbara Koster is Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Prudential Financial, head of Global Business and Technology Solutions and a member of Prudential’s Senior Management Committee. She has responsibility for IT at all Prudential locations worldwide and ensures the privacy and integrity of Prudential’s information. She also manages the company’s global networks, data centers and other technology infrastructure. Barbara is chairman of the boards of Pramerica Systems Ireland, Ltd. and Prudential Systems Japan, Ltd., both technology subsidiaries of Prudential Financial. She joined Prudential in 1995 as vice president and chief information officer in Individual Life Insurance Systems where she was responsible for a wide range of technologies. Prior to joining Prudential, Barbara held positions with Chase Manhattan Bank including President of Chase Access Services. In 2011, NJ Biz newspaper named Barbara one of the “Fifty Best Women in Business,” and she was named CIO of the Year in 2008 by the Executive Council and listed among the top Executive Women of New Jersey. She also has been named among Premier IT Leaders by Computerworld magazine; the Top Twenty Financial Management Technologists by the CIO Forum; and the Elite Eight by Insurance & Technology magazine. Barbara received the 1999 Women in Science and Technology award from the Smithsonian Institute.
Chief Information Officer, Assured Partners, Inc.
Tony Mattioli is the Chief Information Officer at Assured Partners, Inc. Tony is responsible for focusing on technology solutions and initiatives throughout the company. With 35 years of experience in the property/casualty insurance business, Tony has held a number of senior executive positions in the industry. Most recently Tony was the CIO at Marsh for the Risk and Insurance Services Group that included Marsh and Guy Carpenter. Prior to joining MMC Tony was the President and co-founder of Dovetail Insurance, now a part of Marsh. Tony began his career at Policy Management Systems Corporation where he spent 20 years in various software development, operations and sales positions in the U.S. and Europe. Tony is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor Science degree in economics.
Raymond “Ray” Oral
Senior Vice President & CIO, CNA
Ray Oral is senior vice president and Chief Information officer responsible for CNA’s Global Information Technology. He leads CNA’s efforts to integrate technology and business processing into an efficient, flexible and scalable processing platform; and is responsible for delivering application and infrastructure solutions, as well as ensuring that technology investments deliver the intended value. Ray joined CNA in 2008 as senior vice president – Application Development & Maintenance, and was responsible for guiding Business Delivery, Quality Assurance & Testing. Current areas of focus have included Agile, DevOps and the transformation to Cloud and next generation outcome based services. Prior to joining CNA, Ray spent 23 years with ABN AMRO/LaSalle Bank Group in a variety of technology and business leadership roles that supported LaSalle’s growth from a $1.5B organization in 1985 to $120B in 2006. Prior to joining ABN AMRO, Ray held several IT leadership roles over a nine-year period with the Chicago Board Options Exchange, the premier and largest options exchange in the world.
President and CEO, ACORD
Bill Pieroni is President & CEO of ACORD. Prior to his appointment in 2016, Mr. Pieroni served as the Global Chief Operating Officer of Marsh and was responsible for the firm’s global operations. Additionally, he was the Chief Technology and Transformation Officer across the Risk and Insurance Segment. Prior to joining Marsh, Mr. Pieroni was Senior Vice President and part of the Office of the Chairman at State Farm. Prior to that, he served as Aon’s Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer with global responsibility for operations across retail, wholesale and reinsurance brokerage. His extensive insurance and financial services background also includes General Manager of IBM’s insurance business, a partner at Accenture, and consultant with McKinsey & Company. Mr. Pieroni earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting with University Honors & Distinction from the University of Illinois. He also received his M.B.A with Highest Distinction, and was named a Baker Scholar from Harvard University School of Business Administration.
